Sony opened pre-orders for the God of War Laufey Collector Box, a $149.99 bundle built around Kratos's late wife Faye. It ships February 16, 2027, and the game is sold separately.

The centerpiece is a light-up resin statue of Faye standing with her animal companions Phranque and Rue. You also get a 51-card oracle deck with custom art and a mini artbook filled with concept sketches picked by Santa Monica Studio's art team.

The box went live first on PlayStation Direct's Spanish store, then rolled out to other regions at €149.99 or £129.99. No word yet on how limited the run is or whether it'll sell out fast.

What you're actually paying for

This is a display piece for fans who want more Faye after God of War Ragnarök. The statue lights up, which is neat for a shelf, but you're not getting a steelbook, a soundtrack or any in-game bonus. Just the statue, the cards and the artbook.

The oracle deck is a nice touch if you like tarot-style art or want something thematic to show off. The artbook will probably have early character designs and environment sketches, the kind of stuff that usually ends up in deluxe editions.

The catch

You have to buy the game separately. That's a weird move for a collector box this expensive, especially one that won't ship for two more years. Most bundles at this price point throw in at least a standard copy or a digital code.

If you already own God of War Ragnarök and you're all-in on the mythology, this might work. But for everyone else, it's a lot of money for a statue and some cards tied to a character who's mostly backstory.

Pre-orders are open now on PlayStation Direct. Just remember you're waiting until early 2027 to actually get it.
