Darth Vader's flagship is back in brick form, and this time it's longer than the Titanic. The LEGO one, anyway.

LEGO set 75457 Executor Super Star Destroyer is an Ultimate Collector Series model built for adults. It was announced August 26 and went on sale October 1 at LEGO Stores and LEGO.com.

The numbers

  • Price: $799.99 in the US, $1,099.99 in Canada, £649.99 in the UK and €749.99 in Europe
  • Pieces: 6,130
  • Length: more than 53.5 inches, or about 136 cm

That length is the story. The LEGO Titanic, released in 2021, had been the informal record holder at roughly 53 inches. According to The Brothers Brick, the Executor beats it by about half an inch. Brickset calls it the longest brick-built LEGO Star Wars model to date.

So before anything else: measure. A shelf that's "about four and a half feet" isn't going to cut it. The set comes with its own display stand, but you still need somewhere to put a ship that's longer than a lot of coffee tables.

The minifigures are the real hook

If you were the kid who staged the bounty hunter lineup from The Empire Strikes Back on your bedroom floor, this is aimed squarely at you. The set includes seven minifigures:

  • Darth Vader
  • Boba Fett
  • Dengar
  • Bossk
  • IG-88
  • 4-LOM
  • Zuckuss

LEGO says this is the first set to put all six of those bounty hunters in one box. There's also a minifigure-scale bridge scene to stand them on, a tiny bridge mini-build and a small to-scale Star Destroyer that sits alongside to show you just how absurd the Executor is.

About that gift with purchase

Buyers between October 1 and 10 got a free 174-piece Darth Vader's Lightsaber set (40897), while supplies lasted. That window has now closed, so don't count on it if you're buying today.

It's not the first Super Star Destroyer

LEGO sold an earlier Super Star Destroyer, set 10221, back in 2011. Brickset frames the new one as a modern take on that same ship. Don't buy the new one as an investment, though. Buy it because you want it on your wall.

Should you?

Eight hundred dollars is real money. That's a weekend away or a new set of tires. But if you're a UCS collector, a Star Wars lifer, or someone who has quietly wanted every bounty hunter from that one Empire scene since 1980, this checks a lot of boxes at once. If that's you, start by looking at the current UCS lineup and prices, then go measure your wall twice.
