William Regal spent 42 years in wrestling, and he's had enough of the lazy nonsense. The WWE veteran posted advice to wrestlers on October 16, calling out sloppy pins and weak kickouts—the kind of half-effort that treats the audience like they're too dumb to notice. Meanwhile, Lucasfilm Games finally opened the door to studios beyond EA's decade-long stranglehold, and Brendan Fraser—a guy Hollywood chewed up and spit out—is back with Rachel Weisz for The Mummy 4. Three stories, one thread: respect the work, respect the fans, and don't phone it in.

Regal's Right: Wrestling Lost Something When It Chased Spectacle

Regal cited AJ Styles versus Amazing Red from the early 2000s as an example of how to pin someone like your career depends on it. According to his post, something has been lost over the last 20-plus years, and he's not wrong. Modern wrestling chases the next viral spot, the next kickout at 2.9, the next move that'll pop the crowd—but half the roster treats a pin like a formality. Regal's advice: wrestlers should pin and kick out like their life and career depend on it.

That's not nostalgia talking. That's a craftsman who knows the difference between a match that feels real and one that feels choreographed. The Attitude Era had its share of chaos, but guys like Stone Cold and The Rock sold every moment like it mattered. Today's roster has more talent than ever, but too many of them learned from video games instead of veterans. Regal's calling it out because someone has to.
