Gunnar Optiks released an Arasaka model of gaming glasses on October 21, inspired by Cyberpunk 2077's megacorporation. Priced at $99, the black-and-red frames come with a metal case, microfiber pouch, and cleaning cloth. This is the third Cyberpunk collab from Gunnar—they've also released DEX and Militech models—so if you're a fan of the game's aesthetic, there's a whole lineup to collect.
The real news dropped the next day. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, the Edgerunners 2 Update, hit PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 22. This isn't a small patch: it adds a new side quest called Clampdown, fresh clothing sets, cyberware customization at Glamdocs, and dual-wielding pistols and revolvers—a feature fans have wanted since launch.

The biggest addition is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io. That's huge. Console players have been locked out of the modding scene since day one, while PC players have been building wild stuff for years. Now everyone gets access to the same pool, which means more variety and more reasons to replay the game.
For a game that launched rough in 2020 and spent years clawing back respect, Cyberpunk 2077 has quietly become one of the best redemption arcs in gaming. The Edgerunners anime series brought new life to the world, and CD Projekt Red kept updating and fixing. Dual-wielding weapons alone is the kind of thing that makes you want to roll a new character and do the whole thing again.
The Radazoid take
Back in the 80s and 90s, we didn't have post-launch updates and community mods the way games do now. You bought it, you played it, and that was it—no second chances if the launch was rough. Cyberpunk 2077 showed up broken, but CD Projekt Red actually finished the job instead of moving on. That's the kind of commitment to the craft we respect. The mod support for console is the cherry on top: it's the kind of feature that keeps a game alive for years.
This is good news if you bounced off Cyberpunk at launch or haven't touched it in a while. The game's in a solid place now, and Update 2.5 gives you new reasons to come back. The Arasaka glasses are optional—nice flex if you're into that stuff—but the update itself is worth downloading.
